Barbara Christine Van Hoose Cloran December 30, 1948 - November 23, 2025 BARBARA CHRISTINE VAN HOOSE CLORAN, 76, of Loxahatchee, FL, passed away November 23, 2025. Barbara was born December 30, 1948 in Port Clinton, Ohio to Donna Mae and Paul Van Hoose. Barbara graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1967 and later pursued higher education at Florida Atlantic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Early in her professional life, she worked at the Palm Beach County Courthouse before discovering her true calling in education. With a deep passion for teaching, Barbara dedicated over two decades to educating students across Palm Beach County. Her career included teaching Chemistry at Cardinal Newman High School, Wellington High School, Belle Glade High School, and Seminole Ridge High School. She retired from teaching in 2014, leaving behind a legacy of commitment to learning and student success. Her infectious laugh, unwavering love of family and friends, and the joy she shared through her cooking and baking brought light and warmth into every gathering. Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Jon Michael Cloran and is survived by her brother Dennis (Reiko) Van Hoose of Fort Jones, CA; brother Barton Van Hoose of Lake Wales, FL; her sister, Pamela Field of Royal Palm Beach, FL; her brother in law, Dave (Sheilah) Cloran of Delray Beach, FL; her three children, Kelly Cloran of Loxahatchee, FL; Jon (Kim) Cloran of Vero Beach, FL; and Heather (Eric) Farneti of Centreville, VA; and six grandchildren, Zachary LoBuono, Ian Cloran, Kylie Cloran, Nina Farneti, Alyssa Farneti and McKayla Cloran and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Wellington, FL on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11AM. Donations may be made to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Barbara's memory.
