Barbara Lee Kearney

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Barbara Lee Kearney, 88 years, on July 22, 2022 at 2:28 AM. She passed away peacefully with her daughter, Laura L. Kearney, holding her hand. Barbara was born on March 25, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, to John R. Zimmerman and Laverne T. Zimmerman. She was married on July 13, 1956 to Ronald P. Kearney, her husband of 52 years until his passing in 2009. She and her husband relocated to Palm Beach County where Barbara has remained a long time resident of Royal Palm Beach, FL. Barbara leaves behind her daughters, Sandy Campbell and Laura Kearney; her grandchildren, Christopher Gallaway, Savannah Campbell, Jesse (Unique) Campbell, Billy Campbell, and Malachi Kearney; her great grandchildren, Jesse Campbell, Jr. and Addison Campbell; a brother John Zimmerman of Cookeville, TN, and sisters, Sandra Ewing of Akron, Oh and Janie Enos of Mount Pleasant, PA. Barbara loved the Lord which was demonstrated through her church affiliations and her chosen profession as a Registered Nurse. Barbara was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, where she served faithfully. She was always compassionate and a friend to many. Barbara loved the outdoors, nature, birds, and animals. Her favorite was cats! Her passion was witnessing for Jesus. She felt strongly about "Keeping America Great Again" and was a member of the John Birch Society. She was always willing to help anyone financially, offered food and encouraging people that they can do better if necessary. Her last job she worked at, Cancer Care and Oncology Treatment at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, was with her daughter, Wendy Gallaway, and her very good friend, Lynn Van Eman. Family and friends may join us to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 30 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Visitation starts at 4:00pm, followed by a service at 6:00pm.
