Barbara Rosemarie Chin (nee Burke) was born on September 20th 19XX in Port Antonio, Jamaica, to Beryl Rose and Denzil Burke. Her parents left her in the care of her grandparents when they migrated to the United States. Barbara always had the Queen mentality. While in the care of her grandparents she jokingly referred to herself as a boarder in hopes of getting out of chores. It didn't work. As a young child she attended St. Anthony's Preparatory School and then Port Antonio Primary School until she migrated to the United States joining her family in Brooklyn, New York. Following in her mother's footsteps she attended Clara Barton High School for the Health Professions to pursue a nursing career. She later received her Bachelor's in Nursing from Lehman College in the Bronx. After completing her studies at Lehman she embarked on her career landing her first job as a Registered Nurse at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx where she remained for 18 years. In 1987 she married Anthony Chin whom she had met when she was in high school. The union produced two sons: Anthony Chin, Jr. and Brandon Chin. In 2002 she relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida where she secured employment as a nurse at JFK Medical Center. It's a job she held for the past 14 years. Barbara was a beautiful soul with an infectious personality. She was the life of the party and will be sorely missed by her husband, sons, granddaughter, parents, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of family, friends and coworkers. Rest in peace Barbara. We love you.
