In Loving Memory of Aurica E. Pollacchi

February 3, 1932 – October 15, 2026

Aurica E. Pollacchi, affectionately known to family and friends as “Rickie,” passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 15, 2026, in Wellington, Florida, at the age of 94.

Born on February 3, 1932, in Everett, Massachusetts, to Guido and Elena Lozzi, Rickie lived a remarkable life filled with independence, adventure, love, and devotion to those around her.

A trailblazer in her own quiet way, Rickie was a woman ahead of her time. At a time when it was uncommon for single women to pursue independent lives, she embraced the world on her own terms. She worked, traveled, and lived independently, guided by a spirit of determination, curiosity, and self-reliance. She may not have considered herself a pioneer, but the life she chose reflected a courage and confidence that inspired those who knew her.

Above all, Rickie cherished her family and friends. She gave generously of her heart, her time, and her love, forming meaningful relationships that spanned generations and stretched from coast to coast. Her warmth, strength, and unmistakable spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be part of her life.

Rickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lionel (“Leo”) Pollacchi; her parents, Guido and Elena Lozzi; her siblings, Adele, Lidia, and Arminio; and her stepson, Lee Pollacchi.

She leaves behind loving family members and dear friends across the country who will miss her immensely. Yet, as Rickie herself would have wanted, those who remember her will do so not only with tears, but also with smiles, laughter, and gratitude for the many wonderful memories she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411. Following the celebration, family and close friends are invited to gather at 1:00 p.m. at Café Sapori, 205 Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, for light refreshments, beverages, and an opportunity to share memories of Rickie.

In accordance with her wishes, Rickie’s ashes will be interred alongside her mother in California in early 2027.

Rickie lived life on her own terms, loved wholeheartedly, and leaves behind a lifetime of memories. Her greatest wish was that those who knew and loved her would remember her with a smile.
