It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ashton William McKinnon, lovingly known as Ashy or Ash, who departed this world on March 18, 2023, at the young age of 22. Ashton was born in Houston, Texas on September 25, 2000, Ashton was the beloved son to his Mother Kristin Ley, Father Michael McKinnon, and Step-Father Blayne Ley. His family is heartbroken with the tragic and sudden passing, and love him more than words can express Ashton, will be missed immensely. Ashton's love for life was evident in his numerous hobbies, which included cooking, music, skateboarding, fishing, and being a baby whisperer to his siblings. Ashton lit up the room and warmed the hearts of everyone that saw his amazing smile and open arms. He could bring people together even in the most challenging times. He loved fiercely and wasn't afraid to show it. His heart has left a mark for eternity on our hearts and his legacy will be remembered forever and always. Ashton is survived and is greatly missed by his sister Avery; his brothers Aiden and August; his grandparents, Richard and Karen Wolfe, Rodger McKinnon, Nikki and Ray McKay; his Aunts and Uncles Kevin and Tiffany Harrison, Sam Wolfe, Eric and Natalie Brennan, Matthew McKay, and Eric Nachlinger his cousins Noah, Simon, Brittany, Hannah, Zach, and Blake. He also leaves behind many friends in his home state of Texas including his best friend Austin. As we mourn the loss of Ashton "Ashy" McKinnon, we extend our thoughts and prayers to all those who loved him. May peace and comfort find them in this challenging time and afterglow.
