Arthur L. Sibberns, 84, was called Home by his Creator on July 2, 2018. He was born in Bayonne, NJ of the late Eibe Sibberns and Lillian Norris. He was living in Colonia, NJ when he met his future wife, Natividad "Nati" Thomas, a teacher and lawyer from the Philippines in 1974. They were married in 1975 at the Madonna Chapel in Fort Lee, NJ. They lived in the Middlesex County until they relocated to Florida after his retirement from the New Jersey State Employment Service, Department of Labor. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church in Wellington, FL. Fondly called Art by family and friends, Art originally lived in Roselle Park, NJ where he graduated from the Roselle Park High School. He graduated from the Bucknell University in Pennsylvania with a degree of Bachelor of Arts major in Art. He was a lover of Classical Music and the Opera. Love of family and friends was his priority. His cousins. Catherine (Bill) Murphy, Carole (Mil) Green, Joyce (David) Schmitt, William (Marilyn) Johnson, and Frank Johnson considered him their family favorite cousin. Art was devoted to Nati, his wife for 43 years. His love was immensely great and protective. He visited the Philippines many times where he was loved as dearly as he loved his wife's family. He is being remembered as a kind and gentle soul. His friends and associates knew him for his wit, sense of humor, and compassion. Art is now united in heavenly peace with his parents, Eibe and Lillian and his sister, Elaine. Viewing will be held 5:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, July 8 at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM Monday, July 9 at St. Rita Catholic Church, Wellington.
