Argiro "Lula" Karassellos was called to the Lord on June 30th, 2016. Her battle finally ended peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Heaven has another angel as Argiro is reunited with her son Michael and her husband Dino Karassellos. She is survived by her daughter Paula, son-in-law Stas, granddaughter Andrea, grandson Laki and great-grandson Nikolas Politis, daughter-in-law Gail, grandson Costa, and granddaughter, Nicola Karassellos in South Africa, as well as her brother and sisters in Greece and the USA, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles throughout the world. Argiro was born in Neo Xorio, Crete, Greece and emigrated to Zimbabwe, Africa to marry Dino Karassellos. They lived in Zimbabwe for over 40 years before coming to live in the US with their daughter Paula and son-in-law Stas in 1999. "Lula", as she was known by most, was a vibrant, kind, and gentle person. She blessed our lives as a Mother, a Grandmother ("Yiayia"), and a Great-Grandmother ("Big Yiayia") and will always be a pillar of our family. Her warm smile, soft words, and infectious laugh taught us all how to love, while staying humble; how to be strong, yet forgiving; how to respond with wisdom and advice from the heart. Lula never wavered in her faith, her beliefs, or her values, and will serve as a guiding light to us for the rest of our lives. She loved to knit, crochet and sew and used her talents to help others. Even though she was not as mobile as she wanted to be, she knitted teddy bears for children in hospital. She also loved to garden and everything she planted flourished. She especially loved the rain; the sound and smell of rain were sweet reminders of Africa. Lula's loving smile and gentleness will never be replaced. We will always cherish and love her as we keep her in our hearts. Although we are heart-broken and truly miss her, we hold onto our sweet memories of our precious Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother until we meet again. Gone, but never ever forgotten! There will be a viewing at 9:30am on Tuesday July 5th at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 110 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL followed by a 10:00am funeral service. The family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in lieu of sending flowers: http://www2.palmbeachpost.com/projects/classifieds/charities.php
