Anthony David Lopes "Tony" passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Tony was born to the late Tony Lopes and Mary Dias in Hanford, CA on March 25, 1948. Growing up on their family farm, he learned the value of working hard, appreciating what you have, and the importance of family. He graduated from Lemoore High School and began traveling the country working in the residential moving industry as a truck driver, seeing almost every state in the USA. He prospered in the industry and worked his way into managerial positions for national companies in Massachusetts and Texas. In 1986, he settled in West Palm Beach and opened his own national moving and storage business, Ace Moving Company. Shortly after moving to West Palm Beach, he met and married Nancy Marie Sierk. Together they raised their children and cherished the time they spent as a family. Tony gave life to his family's dreams of having their own horse farm. Most weekends were spent showing horses as a family either locally or at national shows throughout the country. But he never lost sight of the simple things in life and often, at the end of each day, would gaze across the green pastures of their home – enjoying the rural tranquility. He was a kind hearted and compassionate man to all, who was especially devoted to his family. He was blessed to have a large and loving extended family and group of friends. The time spent with them were truly his greatest pleasures, whether it be a day at the beach or on the boat, bicycle riding, traveling, gatherings, or simply enjoying the company of his grandchildren. Tony will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and big personality. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Tony is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughters Kristen Fischer (Dan), Loxahatchee, FL and Adrianne Lopes, Lake Park, FL; his son Anthony Lopes, Lake Worth, FL; his grandchildren Avery Fischer and Kason Fischer; his sister Kathy Arnold and brothers Eddie Lopes (Cindy) and Richard Lopes all of Lemoore, CA; his sister-in-laws Carolyn Sierk-Hasan, Loxahatchee, FL and Lorraine O'Connell (Tom), Roxbury, CT; brother-in-law Billy Sierk, North Palm Beach, FL; father-in-law Raymond Sierk, Royal Palm Beach, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Lopes, and his parents. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
