Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 We are all deeply saddened by the news of Anna Orlando's passing on November 24th, 2025. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Mariano Orlando, and a loving mother to her daughters, Sandra Saracho and AnnaMaria Maldonado. As a grandmother, she cherished her grandchildren Gabriella Kidwell, Isabella, and Isaiah Maldonado and great granddaughter, Natalia Kidwell. Anna was also a caring sister to Salvatore and Pietro Plaia. No matter whether you were a friend or family, Anna welcomed you with open arms and always offered a taste of her delightful home-cooked meals. Anna devoted her life to caring for those around her, with God at the heart of everything she did. Visitors to her home often noticed the many images of Jesus, palm crosses from Palm Sunday services, and Holy Water, which she used to bless her home regularly. She was famous for always having something simmering in the kitchen and never letting anyone's plate go empty. With a cheerful "Mangia, Mangia!" she made sure there was no such thing as being "full" in her home. Anna was a motherly figure and caregiver to many. When her laughter filled the room, it was truly heartwarming. She welcomed everyone with a warm hug, and her door was always open. While her passing brings deep sorrow, we find solace knowing she is in heaven with her loved ones, free from suffering. Let us cherish the memories we share and keep her spirit alive in our hearts. She is now at peace with the Lord, smiling down upon us all. We never truly lose our loved ones. They accompany us; they don't disappear from our lives. We are merely in different rooms.
