Ann Winslow, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully passed away during the early morning hours of November 3rd, 2021. Ann was a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and is survived by her two sons Scott (wife Lisa, children Cameron and Katie) and David. Rather than hold a memorial, her surviving family members would like to hold a Celebration of Life open to all who had the opportunity to know Ann. This event will be held at a date and location to be determined. Ann was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Barrows and Mildred Elliott on the 18th of March, 1939. She grew up with one older sister, Kay Barrows, with whom she was incredibly close. Ann enrolled at the University of Oklahoma in 1957, joining the Delta Gamma sorority and working as secretary for legendary OU football coach Bud Wilkinson. This experience initiated her status as a lifelong fan of OU football, never missing a game on TV. From 1974 to 2017 Ann lived in Coral Springs, FL and worked at JM Family Enterprises from 1985 to 2008. Anyone who knew her during this time can attest to her strong family values and willingness to go out of her way to help others. To Ann, family was the most important thing, which she often prioritized above herself. Her sons played just about every sport they could and Ann would do everything in her power to make it happen. With such active boys, Ann would find herself bringing either of them to the hospital constantly, reaching a first name basis with the hospital staff. Despite all that trouble, Ann would never cease to support her children's goals. Such unwavering support continued towards her two grandchildren, of whom she thought the world of. She would never miss any event that either grandchild was involved in, no matter how big or small it was. Whenever extra help was needed taking care of them, Ann would always be there. As such a steady presence within the lives of all her friends and family, Ann will be missed incredibly dearly. She will forever be remembered for her altruism, compassion and respect towards everyone she came across. To honor Ann's legacy of kindness and perpetuate her generosity, the family encourages donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association. As a frequent donor to both these organizations, Ann demonstrated true selflessness and a desire to make the world a better place.
