Ann Elizabeth ("Lizzie") Jackman, 51 of Wellington, Florida died unexpectedly on May 9, 2016. Dr. Jackman was born in Mountain View, California February 25, 1965 to Ann (Klimasewski) and Arthur Jackman of Wellington, FL. Dr. Jackman worked for the School District of Palm Beach County for almost 27 years and touched the lives of thousands of teachers and students. Ann received her Bachelor's Degree from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island, her Master's Degree from Barry University in North Miami, and her Doctorate from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. Dr. Jackman's passion was teaching and she loved working with English Language Learners. She began her career at Boynton Beach Elementary School, and also taught at Indian Pines, Greenacres, and C.O. Taylor/Kirklane. Dr. Jackman worked with the Multicultural Department at the School District of Palm Beach County and was a reading coach, college professor of ESOL, and a consultant during her long career. She was outstanding in her field, she was President of Florida TESOL and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was fluent in Spanish and traveled the world. Ann, beloved daughter of Arthur and Ann (Wellington, FL and Warwick, RI), loving sister to Michael (Warwick, RI), Patricia Glen (Voorhees, NJ) and proud aunt to nephew William (Warwick, RI). In addition Ann leaves several aunts, uncles, many cousins and many, many friends. She leaves in her wake a legacy of children who she loved, cared for, and nurtured. She was an amazing woman, educator, and friend. Services will be on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Palms West Funeral Home located at 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach 33411. There will be a viewing from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00. She is going home to be buried in Rhode Island. Dr. Ann Jackman made a difference in the lives of so many each and every day.
