Anita V Ocasio, 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Anita is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Angel Ocasio; her four children: eldest son Gilbert, daughter Lisa and her husband Gary, daughter Angelica, and youngest son Adam. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren—Daniel, Justin, Cristina, Anabel, Tyler, Ian, and Nia—and three beloved great-grandchildren, Lucas, Ari, and Ares, as well as her loyal fur-baby, Max.
She was a proud graduate of Walton High School and Bronx Community College, carrying with her a lifelong dedication to learning, resilience, and family.
To know Anita was to know kindness, strength, and unwavering generosity. She touched countless lives, never distinguishing between family, friend, or stranger. If someone was in need, she found a way to help—offering not only solutions, but comfort, wisdom, and love. Her presence was a steady source of support and warmth to all who knew her.
Anita often lived by the simple yet profound words, “It is what it is!”—a reflection of her ability to face life with acceptance, grace, and quiet strength.
This brief tribute captures only a glimpse of Anita’s remarkable life. Her legacy cannot be contained in words alone; it lives on in each and every person she touched and will continue to endure for generations to come.

Anita le sobreviven su devoto esposo de 53 años, Angel Ocasio; y sus cuatro hijos: su hijo mayor, Gilbert; su hija Lisa y el esposo de ella, Gary; su hija Angelica; y su hijo menor, Adam. También deja atrás a siete queridos nietos —Daniel, Justin, Cristina, Anabel, Tyler, Ian y Nia— y a tres amados bisnietos —Lucas, Ari y Ares—, así como a su leal "hijo peludo", Max.
