Angelina J. Garofalo

Angelina J. Garofalo, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother (Meema) passed away on Friday January 13, 2012. Born in Brooklyn New York on January 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Rocco and Mary Montesano, and the sister of Marie and Dotty and the late Joseph and Rosalie . She married the late Angelo C. Garofalo in 1946 together they celebrated more than 60 years of marriage. Angie was a professional hairdresser for many years, a housewife and mother to Frank and Diana. In 1975, she and Angelo retired to Tamarac and enjoyed the sunny life in Florida. In 1998 they moved to Lake Worth. Angie was the adopted mother and grandmother of many and will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and the best Meema. She is survived by son Frank and his wife Carol, and her daughter Diana; four grandsons and granddaughters: Frank and Jennifer, Christopher and Carrie, James and Katherine, Peter and Rachael. She is the great grandmother (Meema) of Olivia, Ashley, Nicholas, Sophia and Nathaniel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County. A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday January 17, 2012 from 2-4pm & 6-9pm, with wake service starting at 7:30 PM. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Matthews R C Church in Lake Worth at 11am on Wednesday January 18, 2012.
