Angela Lawrence

Angela Lawrence, born Angela de Mello Piacentini in São Paulo, Brazil, passed away on January 11, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida. She spent most of her life in South Florida, a place she came to call home and where she built a life centered on family, creativity, and quiet generosity.

Angela was an artist at heart. She expressed herself through her work and through the way she observed the world—often keeping her emotions close, yet feeling deeply. While she may not always have worn her heart on her sleeve, her actions spoke volumes. She had a generous spirit and a deep compassion for others. Angela was predeceased by her devoted father, Livio Piacentini, and her brother, Plinio Piacentini, who she adored. She is survived by her beloved mother, Celma; her husband, Richard; her children, Fernanda (Fabio) Giacometti, Priscilla (Marcos) Rodriguez, and Caroline (Matthew) Hardy; and her cherished eleven grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life. Her love for her family was steadfast and enduring, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service honoring Angela’s life will be held on January 24th at noon at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life marked by compassion, creativity, and strength.

Angela’s legacy lives on in her family, her art, and the countless acts of kindness she shared throughout her life.
