Angel L. Cruz

Our dear Ángel L. Cruz sadly passed away on October 31, 2023, unexpectedly, at the age of 69 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, Florida. He was born November 20, 1953, in Puerto Rico to Sixta Matos and Ángel Luis Cruz. Ángel served proudly & honorably in the United States Army (Army Branch) for 20 years & retired in 1994. He worked for VA Hospital, in San Antonio, Texas and retired in 2015. Ángel is survived by his loving wife Zonia Cruz of 51 years, his Son: Ángel L. Cruz II, daughter-in-law Veronica Cruz; Daughter: Angela Marie Gaines, Son-in-law: Victor Gaines; four beautiful grandchildren who he adored: Lillian Grace Gaines, Victoria Elizabeth Cruz; Leighton Marie Gaines and Logan Cruz Gaines. His brother Mario Matos, Sister-in-law: Lynne Matos, brother-in-laws: David Meléndez, Lino Lopez and Ángel Negron, Sister-in-laws: Marina Rosado (Frank), Carmen Meléndez (Tomas), Diana Meléndez, LuzMaria Lopez and Lillian Negron, numerous Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
