Andy Arya

Our beloved father Andy Arya passed away peacefully in his home on January 18, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born in Laos on July 15, 1933. His parents were Thanh and Chansamut Vongkhamsao. He was married to Angel Arya who passed before him on February 23, 2006. His childhood in Laos instilled a lifelong passion for farming and gardening. He was a major in the Royal Lao Armed Forces. He immigrated to the United States in 1976 after the Vietnam war to provide a better life for his family. He originally worked for Westinghouse as an electrician in Connecticut and later moved to Florida and worked for Florida Atlantic University. He was a deeply religious man and donated his time and resources to the church and their members. He leaves behind his children Betty (Nadia) Arya, Thatsaphone Johnny Arya, Carol Arya and Anoza Arya. He is the grateful grandfather to his grandchildren Maximillion Arya, Julia Arya, William Wiegel and step grandchildren Boa Tay and Brooke. The funeral will be held at Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory. Friday, January 24, 2024 from 4PM-8PM. All friends and family are welcome.
