It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ana Iris Valentin on October 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 20, 1939, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Ana lived a beautiful life filled with love, family, faith, and tradition.
Ana was preceded in death by her husband, Elliot Valentin, her daughter, Ana Ivette Alalzo, and her great grandchildren Jacob and Richie. She is survived by her children, Elliot Enrique Valentin (Patricia), Hernan Valentin (Janet), Waleska Valentin, and Daniel Valentin. She was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Her family was her light and her heart, as well as her faith in God.
To her family, she was more than just a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the foundation that made us who we are!
Ana loved life to the fullest. She found great joy and happiness being with her family. She taught many things and she could be counted on whenever she was needed. She poured her heart and soul into everything she did.
Losing her leaves an emptiness that words cannot describe, but as much as she loved each and every one of us, we will never feel that emptiness—we will feel her love!
Her love of cooking, shopping, travelling, dancing, music, and gardening has been passed down to all of us, and she will always be celebrated in our hearts. Each and every one of us has a special memory of her, and we will carry them and share them as we move forward along our journeys.
Thank you, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and mother-in-law, for loving us, teaching us, and filling us with memories and traditions that will last long after today!
We will love and miss you always,
Your loving family.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
