Ana Maria Martinez

Our family is saddened to announce that Ana Maria Martinez was called home by God on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Delray Beach, Florida at the age of 78. Ana Maria was born on August 23, 1943 in Cuba; the daughter of Ana Esperanza and Lorenzo Muniz. She courageously left her beautiful homeland for a better life and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1962. Her and her family eventually made their way to South Florida. Ana was a devoted Catholic and a caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her generosity and her willingness to serve and take care of others selflessly. Without her tough decision to leave Cuba and her family's vision for a better life, our family would not be where we are today. Leaving us too soon, Ana Maria will be dearly missed by her son, daughter-in-law, brother, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and her large extended family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Therese de Lisieux Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:30 am followed by a Rite of Committal ceremony at 12:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
