Allen B. Ryerson, 73, of Lake Worth, Florida, originally from Auburn, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, September 26 after a recent illness. Allen was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in January of 1944 as the second oldest of five children. He was raised in Grafton, Massachusetts and graduated from Grafton High School in 1963. He then served his country as a heavy wheel and track vehicle mechanic in the United Stated Army from 1963-1966 and was stationed in Germany. He was a diesel engine mechanic for over 40 years and later became a business owner. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid sports fan and loved all of the New England teams. He retired in 2009 and during his retirement Allen enjoyed spending time with family, but nothing compared to the time he spent with his grandchildren. He also volunteered at The Franklin Academy in Boynton Beach and served as a Citizen Observer Patrol with Palm Beach Sherriff's office. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Linda (Mandella) Ryerson; one daughter Melissa (Ray Henley) Ryerson of Lake Worth, FL, one son Jeffrey (Stacey) Ryerson of Royal Palm Beach, FL, two sisters Patricia Ruby and Rebecca (Robert) Collette both of Grafton, Massachusetts, one brother Gregory Ryerson of Grafton, Massachusetts, mother in law Joyce Mandella of Auburn, Massachusetts, six grandchildren Katelynn Velez, Kameron and Kenneth Cruz, Christian Henley, Brooke and Lindsey Ryerson. He is also survived by one Aunt Charlotte (Fred) Cook, other family including brother in laws Donald (Patricia) Mandella, Michael (Linda) Mandella, Timothy Mandella and Steven Mandella, sister in law Dianne (Bruce) Laliberte. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Barbara Ryerson and one sister Judy Ryerson who died as an infant.
