Alicia Maria Smith, 41, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Alicia was born at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida on May 4, 1980, but spent much of her childhood making wonderful memories in Woodbridge, Virginia. As a teen Alicia and her family relocated to Florida where she graduated Royal Palm Beach High School. Alicia moved north and settled in New York but always wanted to return Florida. Alicia was a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend. Her vivacious spirit will be missed by many, and she will be remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family as well as her memorable laugh. Alicia leaves behind her partner Donald Oliver; loving parents Arlene Bonita De Lima and Reginald Smith, and stepfather Ramadan "Dan" Abazaid; her brothers Reginald (Melody) Smith, Sebastian Simms and Nabil Abazaid; grandmothers; Jeannette (Johnny Jackson) Hill and Mattie Smith; nieces and nephew Catalina, Ariel, Dorian and Jada Smith. Alicia will also be lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles; Edward De Lima, Dona, Corrina, David (Jill) and Karl Horton, Tawanna (Lewis) Bembry, Carrie Smith; close cousins Nicole (Terry) Morris, Isaac, Paul, Selena, Natalia, Sterling De Lima, Lakeshia Harris and Travis (Keisha), Eddie Paul, Ricco Smith and numerous more. She was predeceased by grandfathers; Edgar Cumbermack and John Robinson Smith, Sr.; grandaunt Maggie (Aubrey) Pollydore; uncle John Robinson (Latasha) Smith, Jr.; granduncle Anthony (Drupatee) De Lima and nephew, Mark Anthony Smith. Even though Alicia was taken too soon, she left behind beautiful memories we all will cherish. A viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 12 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM. The family respectfully requests that all guests wear a face mask while in attendance.
