Alice Faye Maffeo

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Alice Faye Maffeo who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Born on April 05, 1939 in Bath, North Carolina and later moved to Lake Worth, Florida. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband Vincent John Maffeo, and a devoted mother to her children Sara and Tom Wray, Aliceia and Jon Powell, Angela and Josh Bastian, Pamela and Robert Robinson. Alice Faye Maffeo lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her homemade dishes were always the highlight of family gatherings. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. She enjoyed reading books and solving crossword puzzles in her free time. She was a kind and generous soul, always putting others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality. She touched the hearts of so many people's lives. She is survived by her 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thaddeus Barrington, Barry Barrington; sister, Betty Lou Sherrill and many other close family members and friends, who will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her son Richard Pyy and siblings; James Barrington, Janice Cecil, Gilbert (Douglas) Barrington and Phyllis Taylor. Rest in peace, dear Noni. You will forever be in our hearts and memories. In celebration of Alice's life, services will take place at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411 on Thursday, April 03, 2025. A visitation and services will begin at 8:30am followed by a short procession to South Florida National Cemetery, Where she will be laid to rest with beloved husband.
