Alice Conboy Hunter

Alice Conboy Hunter West Palm Beach FL - Age 92 It is with heavy hearts that the Hunter family is again experiencing loss with the passing of our mother, sister and grandmother Alice on April 2, 2023. Alice was born in Edinburgh Scotland on January 3, 1931 to William and Catherine Gilchrist. She lived a wonderful life in her beloved Scotland working at the Scotsman and eventually marying the love of her life George in 1953. She waited 5 years to have Scott, then Ross and Vicki. They moved to England where George started working on Fleet Street. In 1975 the family moved to Florida where she started working for Dr. Frank Crittenden for more than 25 years. After retiring, she volunteered at PBIA as an airport ambassador. She was an avid exerciser and raquetball player for many years, often leaving many on the court wondering what just happened! Alice was a devoted wife and mother involved in all our lives and second mother to many of our friends. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother and before her passing a great grandmother. She loved travelling the world with Vicki, her garden, and of course her honey, tea, and chocolate. She is survived by her son Ross (Anna), daughter Vicki, grandchildren Jennifer, Ian, Katherine and Emily, two great grandsons, loving sister Jaqueline and family in Scotland and New Zealand. Preceded in death by husband George and son Scott. Service will be April 22, 2023 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 at 12:00pm
