Alejandrina Torna

Our dearest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alejandrina Torna, passed away on All Saints' Day, November 1st 2015 at 5:30pm at the age of 87 years. She was surrounded by her loving family in her last moments. Alejandrina is survived by her children Irene, Daisy, Omaira, Rafael, Ernesto, Deli and Nelson. She was preceded in death by her son Jorge and her husband of 57 years, Celestino Torna. With her husband and children, she made the daring ocean voyage to America from Cuba in 1967. Throughout her life, Alejandrina was a pillar of strength and a warm light that drew in all who came near. Her family is forever indebted to her dedication and unconditional love that laid the foundation for the wonderful lives they lead today. May she rest in peace. A wake will be held on November 6th from 5pm to 8pm at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A service mass will be held on November 7th at 9:30am at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Wellington, Florida. Following the service mass, funeral services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that a donation be made to her most cherished charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
