Aleandro Sayas

Aleandro "Sico" Sayas Age 81, born June 5, 1928 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. He was called to his heavenly home by our Lord, Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Mr. Sayas was a resident of Royal Palm Beach, since 1987, having come from Youngstown, OH. After 30 years of service, he retired as a Steel Worker from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. He was a member of the Legion of Mary, Cursillo Movement, Santo Nombre de Jesus, Caballeros de Colon and a church choir member. He will be remembered by his surviving loving wife Lucy Mercedes of 55 years; two daughters Nilda(Heriberto) Lopez, Lourdes(Wilson) Gavillan; 6 grandchildren, Aleandro M. Lopez, Natalie M. Eberling, H. Luis Lopez, Nathanial E. Santiago, Amanda L. Gavillan, Wilson J. Gavillan, two brothers, four sisters, three great grand children, many family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, two sons, three daughters, two brothers and one sister. Calling hours are from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, February 21, at PALMS WEST FUNERAL HOME, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be offered 11:00 AM Monday, February 22, at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, Royal Palm Beach, the Rev. Jose Crucet, celebrant. Burial will follow at our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
