Adina R. Nicolas, 77, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at Good Samaritan. She was the beloved wife of the late A. Yonel Nicolas. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on December 6, 1946, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lola Rousseau. Adina was like a second mother to her five younger siblings. She was a skilled seamstress, excelling in her craft, and eventually became a supervisor at a wedding dress factory. Adina moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1986, where she devoted herself to a meaningful career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was a woman of many talents and passions—creating beautiful hats, styling hair, and, most notably, baking. Her cakes were a true reflection of her love and care, with birthday and wedding cakes that brought joy to all who tasted them. She also fondly cherished her time playing in the snow with her beloved Boston family. She spent her final days studying the Scriptures with her Jehovah's Witness family. Adina is lovingly remembered by her children: Nick Catin and his wife Ketia E., Marie Lyonelle Charles and her husband Anthonal, Vladimir Nicolas, Kendy Nicolas and his wife Amanda, and her stepdaughter Carlyne Nicolas. She was also a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren: Maherly Catin, Layla Nicolas, Gabrielle Bernadeau, Sheldon Catin, Derian Catin, Joshiah Nicolas, Danika Catin, Abrielle Catin, Benjamin Charles, Bayli Nicolas, Christine Charles, and Orion Nicolas. Adina was a sister to Marie Yolande Laroche, Louisette Jean Louis, Joseph Laroche and his wife Rosette, Yves Laroche and his wife Violette, and Raphael Lovelas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nardine Jean Baptiste, Yolette Rodney and her husband Florian, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Adina's loving spirit, creativity, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and warmth.
