Adela Amparo Weyer perished on August 17th, 2026, in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Born on October 30th, 1948, as the eldest Daughter to Domingo Fernandez and Maria Paralta de Fernandez in Punal Santiago, Dominican Republic, Adela will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

She bravely left behind everything she knew, setting foot in the United States. Adela longed not just for a better life, but for a chance to create a future for herself and her family, fueled by the promise of the American dream. Each day was a testament to her unwavering determination, as she tackled the challenges of being an immigrant. From learning a new language, accustoming herself to a new culture, and graduating from Memorial High School in New Jersey, through her diligence.

But upon her arrival, Adela met her soulmate, William Weyer. Their eyes met at the airport on November 15th, 1969, and in that instant, the world seemed to halt as the seeds of love were planted. Their connection was immediate and undeniable. As time progressed, so did their bond, blooming into a love story that would see them wed on April 3rd, 1971, a union built on their faith and undying devotion for one another.

Throughout their beautiful journey together, Adela and William were blessed with three sons: Fernando Weyer, William Weyer, and George William Weyer. From the moment they entered her life, her sons became her greatest treasures, the blood that fueled her veins. Every sacrifice, every labor of love, was for them and always for them. Adela poured her heart into motherhood, filling every day with unwavering devotion and tireless energy. She worked endlessly to provide warm, nourishing meals, to create a home that was always filled with laughter, comfort, and safety. Her gentle hands and compassionate spirit brought peace and unity to the Weyer household. Adela was the unwavering foundation, the light that guided her family when darkness seemed to prevail. Her love was a constant embrace, a source of strength that allowed her family to flourish, and her presence will forever be felt in our family's hearts.

Though Adela’s life wasn’t always picture-perfect. Tragedy struck the day William Weyer, her husband, took his last breath at the New York Stock Exchange, a victim of a sudden heart attack at the age of fifty-five, on January 8th, 1996. Her life spiraled, leaving her as a widow who needed to provide stability to her sons, no longer with the beloved man she once shared a dream with, and with her three sons who were in need of a parental figure to provide stability. With the loving memory of her husband to guide her, it gave her the strength to rise above the ashes and be the mother her sons needed.

With this newfound grief, she found comfort in her faith. With the Lord's never-ending presence, she allowed him and his words to uplift her on days when she felt hopeless. As the years passed, and her sons grew into fine men, Adela as well began to turn the page in a new chapter of her life. There, new blessings came her way: five grandchildren who gave her a new reason to thrive. She cherished them all, and would always carry them in her heart, and wished for them to be protected through her prayers. Their existence became the proof that her sacrifices were all worth it in the end.

Throughout all of this, Adela remained a devoted member of the catholic church and spent her days appreciating the beauty and nature of life around her. She had persevered through so many hardships, of raising her family, dealing with loss, and coming into acceptance that life continues to move. Then, in February of this year, Adela was faced with her most difficult battle yet when she was diagnosed with stage four metastatic colon cancer. Despite the devastating news, she fought hard, not only for her own prosperity, but with the people she loved the most in her mind. However, though she fought like a warrior, her body and mind could no longer tolerate the sickness that plagued her. Free from pain, she passed away, leaving behind her legacy. Though her legacy can not be measured by the time she had on this Earth, but rather by the impact she left on the people around her.

She would want to be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and above all, a devoted woman of God. Though her mortal life came to an end, she will prosper in the afterlife, where she is surrounded by the presence of God and, alas, is reunited with the love of her life. Without a doubt, she will be watching over her family with a keen eye, ensuring that even if her prayers can not be heard anymore, they will truly be felt so long as her memory is kept alive.
