Adam Van Eaton, age 16, of Wellington Florida, passed away on September 28, 2024. A bright and compassionate young man, known for his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. Whether riding his bike around town, fishing with his friends, or spending time with his family sailing, Adam had a passion for life that was evident to all who knew him. Adam's kind heart and infectious energy touched the lives of many. He enjoyed being active and embracing the world around him, sharing precious moments with family and friends. His adventurous nature was matched only by the depth of his love for those close to him. Born on November 8, 2007, Adam was the beloved son of Kerri and Craig Van Eaton and a cherished brother to Sarah Van Eaton. He attended Wellington High School, where his kindness and infectious energy touched the lives of many. As an avid sailor, Adam spent countless hours on the water sailing and fishing from his much-loved sailboat where he felt most free. He enjoyed the feeling of the wind in his hair as he raced across the water. At the age of 14, he was the youngest competitor to ever compete in the Worrell 1000, a race from Fort Lauderdale to Virginia Beach. He competed with his father, a constant companion and mentor to him. Ironically the race motto was "Iron Men on Plastic Boats". He had a passion for riding his bike (or anything with wheels), fishing with his friends and being on the water. As a Boy Scout, Adam developed an appreciation for camaraderie, learning, and the values of service and friendship. Though his time with us was far too short, Adam's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. In honoring Adam's memory, we encourage you to reach out and support one another, as he would have wanted. We hope to help those who are struggling and encourage open discussions about the importance of mental health, especially in our young people. Adam is survived by his parents, Craig & Kerri; his sister, Sarah. His grandmothers, Jeanne Powell, Nancy Van Eaton Prince and Glenda Van Eaton.
