Abbie L. Thurmond

Abbie Lammers Thurmond, 78, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Louisville KY passed away peacefully on August 20, 2018. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Thurmond of Columbus, Ohio, Stephanie Koppelmann and son in law Jeff Koppelmann of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Gretchen Ross of Lexington, KY, granddaughter Abigail Ross of Lexington, KY and grandson Michael Koppelmann of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and a brother Bernie Lammers and nieces and nephew Stacey, Holly, Cory, April and Rachel. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Herman Lammers. Abbie was born on March 30, 1940 to the late Bernard and Abbie Huber Lammers. She was a graduate of Presentation Academy High School and went on to become a Registered Nurse. She had a long career in many aspects of nursing including Recovery Room, Surgery, Hospital management, and as a Surveyor for the State of Florida. A funeral is scheduled for August 25, 2018 at 11 am at Saint Juliana Catholic Church at 4500 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
