Robert "Rocco" Romanelli

January 1, 1947 - April 30, 2022

Robert “Rocco” Romanelli was born in Pontelandolfo, Italy on January 1, 1947. He passed away on April 30, 2022 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Clorinda Romanelli, both of Pontelandolfo, Italy. Rocco is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dr. Maria (Terranova) Romanelli as well as their three sons, Marc Romanelli (Mary), David Romanelli (Julie) and Dr. Michael Romanelli. He also leaves behind his three beloved grandchildren, Cassandra Bell, Ava Romanelli & Aiden Romanelli as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Rocco emigrated to the United States in 1969 after earning his degree as a Metallurgical Engineer. After his marriage to Maria in 1970 they lived in Valley Stream, NY until relocating his family to South Florida in 1979. He then started Romanelli Tile & Marble which he successfully ran for many years until his retirement. He also invested in commercial real estate, purchasing or building many different properties over the years which his family still owns and maintains to this day. Prior to his illness Rocco was an avid tennis player, enjoyed riding his motorcycles and looked forward to socializing with his many friends at his country club every morning. His family would like to extend special thanks to the late Dr. Jack Halickman as well as his close friend of many years, Dr. Carmen Balzano and Ed Felski for their care, concern and kindness throughout Rocco’s illness.
