Risa Lynne Damante

April 3, 1965 - April 25, 2021

Risa Lynne Damante passed away unexpectedly, at home, on April 25,2021 in Wellington, Florida. Risa was born in Kileen, Texas on April 3, 1965 to Dr. Edward and Mrs. Lana (Bartick) Anker. After her Dad completed his military service the family moved to Riverhead, New York. Risa grew up in an active household with two younger brothers. Risa graduated from Riverhead High School before attending The State University of New York College at Cortland. She always loved warm weather and as a young adult she relocated to Florida where she met and married her beloved husband, Christopher Damante. They had three beautiful children: Matthew, Tara and Amy. Risa loved being a parent and homemaker more than anything and involved herself in all of the children’s activities when they were growing up. Their friends always congregated at the Damante house knowing they had a home away from home. She loved reading cookbooks and her table was set beautifully with the most wonderful food. Friends were always welcome and she loved having a crowd at mealtime. She was an extremely accomplished cook and made everything look so easy. As a youngster she was a gymnast and she carried a love of physical exercise throughout her life time. The gym and marathons were her hobbies as was boating and paddle boarding. She was always happy at the beach, poolside or on the water. She was very artistic and excelled at so many things including the morning crossword puzzle which she did on a daily basis. Tara and Amy both refer to their Mom as their best friend. She is survived by her husband Christopher, her daughters Amy and Tara, her son Matthew, her Mother, Lana of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, her brother Marc of Charlotte, North Carolina and her brother Douglas (deceased). Funeral arrangements will private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Risa be made to The Palm Beach County Food Bank, Animal Rescue or the Charity of Your Choice. Risa was Truly Loved and Will be Missed Forever.
