Henry Charles Van Vleet

August 5, 1947 - December 25, 2021

Henry (Hank) Charles VanVleet, 74, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Veterans Hospice Residence in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born on August 5, 1947 to Emmett and Beverly (Niswander) VanVleet in Battle Creek, Michigan. Henry was a talented, professional musician who enjoyed singing, playing guitar and song writing. He recorded two singles, You’re the Only Love I’ve Ever Known and Be Yourself in 1983 with King’s Universal Studios that can still be heard today. He was an entrepreneur, a talented entertainer, amazing guitar player, and a loving father and grandfather. Many of his happiest moments were spent on stage entertaining like only Henry could. He will be fondly remembered for his charming personality, quick wit, warm smile and his incredible voice. He was also a Veteran who proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his children, Tamra Ksiazek of Florida and Debbie (Derek) Stahl of Michigan; his sister, Vicky VanDaff of Michigan; his grandchildren Justin Mayo of Florida, Larry Morris of Michigan, and Kyle Morris of Michigan; his great grandchildren Macy and Michael Morris of Michigan; his niece and nephews, Melisa (Darrel) Allred of Nebraska, Doug VanVleet of North Carolina, Brandon (Sarah) VanDaff of Michigan and Joshua (Deanna) VanDaff of West Virginia. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael VanVleet. A graveside memorial service will be held on February 4th, 2022 promptly at 3:00 pm at the South Florida National Cemetery located at 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. Please plan to arrive by 2:45pm.
